    Thanks for your …
Thanks for your comments. Power obviously can go out anywhere, including Canada. The deck chair problem is rampant at all resorts. I have a solution. If you see a deck chair with a towel alone, take it. It’s ridiculous that people think they can hold a chair all morning this way. I can see not losing your chair when you go get a drink, bathroom, or lunch…but tis practise is simply unfair and not confined to this resort. Take the chair! You paid for it :>)

    Great Resort! Great …
Great Resort! Great time! Just 2 negatives to keep in mind, -If you are planning to be poolside for the day you have to get up at 5:30 am to go place your towels on a deck chair in order to reserve it ( by 8:00 am , your chances are slim. ) Second, the power went out twice in a week.

I stayed here from 12/24/2003 – 01/07/2004…had a great time…it is a HUGE resort..many people…alot of Germans and English (both loud and obnoxious)…not many Americans (which is also a good thing)…plenty of Canadians (woohoo!!). The Italian restaurant and the Mexican restaurant was AWESOME!!! The lobby is also HUGE and awesome. Never went to Mangu but it was packed every single nite. Rooms were cleans. All in all…2 thumbs up!

Facilities at resorts can be closed from time to time for repairs. As for food poisoning – I’ve not heard about this at this resort – Occidental is a good spanish chain – a big seller here in Canada. There are always isolated incidents at any resort as they are 24 hour operations that need to make repairs on an ongoing basis.

I have stayed at this resort & would not have given it the review in this video. Yes, it is beautiful, beaches amazing, pools huge!, but there are also downfalls. I went during March Break of 2006, The Swim up bar was closed, cases of food poisoning reported, sewage smell around 1 Bar/Resurtant area (just by the pool, food was ok. Although all of this, I did enjoy my stay, but would not recommed this resort to anyone :( For what you pay, you can stay at a better resort.
