Anyone have any reviews on "The Travel Academy" in Minnesota?

I’m interested in becoming a flight attendant, & this school looks so amazing. I’m not sure though, it almost seems too good to be true, & a couple of things kinda of threw up some red flags for me….
Is it legit? Been there? Know someone who’s been there?

Any independent airline training school or academy is a scam and will not give you any advantage over other candidates.

If you are accepted as an F/A, airlines have their own FAA certified training to get your Certificate of Demonstrated Proficiency. The training your recieve is unique to each airline and not transferable.

And other than the occasional regional airline, no one is hiring F/A’s and won’t be for any time soon – they are being furloughed and should any need for them arise, by contract they will be offered to those out on leave first.

Southall Travel are extremely helpfull & knowledgeable people. We returned from our India trip arranged by Southall Travel and I felt that I must express my thanks to them for all the help in putting the trip together and the exceptionally good organisation. Everything went like clockwork and the people we came into contact with were extremely helpfull & knowledgeable.

The itinery met our needs in that it gave us a sufficient amount of relaxation time while also ensuring we saw some stunning sights (although unfortunately no tigers at Ranthambore).

Regarding Chandigarh I must recomend the Rock Garden as a place to visit as it sits outside the normal type of attraction commonly associated with India and is possibly unique not just in India but globally.

When looking on travel/hotel review websites, such as tripadvisor and hotels dot com, who is most critical?

When ever I am looking at these travel review websites I notice that rural Americans and midwesterners to be the least critical. It seems that suburbanites are the most critical, with urbanites falling into a mixed bag in the middle.

The absolute most critical people seem to be suburbanites from the area surronding New York City. New York City dwellers seem to be a little less critical except when it comes to service.

Opinions…observations?

just find any travel review agent and they will tell you "THE PLACE TO BE"

http://www.southalltravel.com : Superb customer service over the phone, they have a passion for the holidays and flights they sell and the know what they are talking about. Even down to the bad points of the resort or destination, which initially was a bit off-putting until you realise that it is nice to know.

How do I search for jobs in the travel industry such as a Critic for vacation spots who writes reviews?

Go to the magazine store and buy all of the travel magazines.

Then call them and ask for their "freelance writing" department.

They will have you submit some of your writing and tell you what they will pay if your future submissions get published.

And go on line and look at "employment opportunities" for the magazines also.
