Do they have a faculty member book directly, or do they generally book through travel agencies?

call the hotel or whatever website you used to book it through and ask them. you can usually just give them your name or the credit card you used to reserve the room with.

If you change reservations within 24 hous of check-in, the hotel will normally charge you the cost of one night’s stay. So even if you want to only have 2 rooms, they could charge you for the 3rd room for that first night.

Ivgeno is right, those are the only hotels on the strip that will allow you to check in.
BUT, there is a great one only 1 block from the strip. Las Vegas Hilton is a block away (easy to walk), very clean/upscale, and allows 18+ to check in and make reservations.

You are having people with breathing problems for the last year deciding to sue saying the oil spill caused it. And oil is less dense than water hense why it floats so when it is all crealred up people can go back to your jobs.
Do you get better hotel rates by not making reservations?
I am planning a last minute trip to Myrtle Beach leaving tomorrow and I found a hotel I wanted to stay at. Could/would I get a better rate if I just walked in, or should I go ahead and make the reservations? I was reading some reviews of some hotels and I saw a few comments that said "We used their walk in rate and got a great deal", etc. I know I would run the risk of not finding vacancy, but would I get a better rate?
If it’s a big chain, like Holiday Inn, Marriott, then they may not be authorised to lower their prices even though they only have a couple rooms left… If it’s a smaller hotel then the staff usually have more freedom to choose their own rates and may give you a good deal if they so wish.
I work in a hotel and the key is to be VERY PLEASANT. For someone who is nice and friendly we may give a great price and include free breakfast, but someone who has an attitude and is willing to book an expensive suite we may say we’re full just because we don’t like him/her. Trust me – happens everywhere…
Give them a call and ask how many rooms they have left and then see if it’s worth the risk

ok i want to make hotel reservations online with my moms credit card (she knows) but she wont be with me at the hotel. when i check in will they need to see the ID of the cardholder???or just the card to verify its the same card #?
Most hotels will need the actually credit card at the time of check as well as a photo id. If you are under 18 make sure the hotel does not have age restrictions some hotels you need to be 18 or even 21 to rent a room. Now if your mom wants to pay for your stay and will not be with you call the hotel and ask if they have a credit authorization form for her to fill out or if it would be okay for your mom to fax a copy of her credit card and photo id stating she wishes to pay for your room and tax. If she wants to pay for any room service or phone calls she would need to add on the paper I authorize the following charges to my account: room , tax and any incidentals.
How much should I tip hotel staff for making museum reservations for me in Florence, Italy?
The staff at the hotel I will be staying in while in Florence, Italy has been very helpful with making reservations for two museums as well as providing information to me for my upcoming visit. Should I tip them and how much? (By Florentine protocol.)
Everywhere in Italy, hotel and restaurand staff members usually do not expect any tip from italians because here there’s not such habit; contrary to what happens elsewhere in the world, in Italy the salary of all the employees is "full", not "basic" and indeed rather low in expectation of tips to increase it.
Anyway, if you are grateful to the staff for their kindness and feel like tipping them, I think that a tip of 10 – 20 euro (depending on how much they helped you) will be adequate and welcome.

That is where you don’t get the name of the hotel till you book it. I’m afraid of getting burned. Anyone had a good or bad experience on this?

You don’t. I had to go to NJ last year and lucked out, my corp office knew that if chose "Customers Choice" I would get the Hilton……and I did. I just figure if you go 5 star you are gauranteed a nice place.
