If you have a ticket, it should state if it can be changed and what fees are associated, or go to the airline’s website. Not all tickets can be changed. If you just want to go earlier on the same day, you can go to the airport and put your name on the standby list.
i have a connecting fligth to tokyo, do i need a visa, i have a philippine passport?
No matter how do you take your own flight over to Tokyo, If you want to enter to Japan, you from Philippines need a visa prior to arrival.
If you meant to be that you’re going to fly back to USA via Narita without staying out of the airport, you can just move gate to gate without any visa for entering to Japan anyway as commonsense.
If you meant to be that you’re going to fly to Japan via Hong Kong for example with staying out of the airport as transit, you can do that but you need to make sure if the place really allows you or not in advance.
If you meant to be that you’re going to fly back to USA via Narita and would like to go out of the Narita airport for sightseeing as transit, you have to apply certain procedure in advance to get transit visa, not on arrival at Narita, Japan.
Anyway, if you just keep staying in the arrival/departure zone, you don’t worry about any visa because the gates and the hallways before immigration and customs are all still outside of the country.
