What Carribean Cruise line should I go on with a group a young people?

Some friends and I are looking to go on a Caribbean Cruise for vacation. Anyone have any advice for which ships to look into. We’re looking for one with lots of young people(20-30 years old) to party with.

Carnival or Royal Caribbean. Both of those cruise lines cater to young people and families. Carnival is more of a party cruise line and Royal Caribbean has more thing to do on its ship, especially the newer ones like the Voyager and Freedom class ships.

Take a look at this RC web site at the on board ship activities: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/ships/home.do;jsessionid=0000c98MqroCYZxDm76dZ6ggu8y:12hbiocus?cS=NAVBAR

Take a look at this Carnival web page about their fun ships:

What is the maximum time that cruise ships usually stop over?

Is it normal for a cruise ship to stop over for 3 days (let’s say in a 14 day cruise)?

And while at this, how many stopovers would it be normal for a cruise of this ammount of time to take?

I have been on almost 20 cruises on four different cruise lines and the usual procedure if for the ship to arrive at a port city at between about 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. In some cases the arrival may be a little later in the morning. Then in most cases the ship will allow passengers off about an hour later (they have to clear the country’s customs first). Then the ship normally stays until about 6:00 PM. In a few cases it has been a little longer, in others shorter. So normally cruise ships stay just one day in each port.

The one exception is cruises to Bermuda which usually allow you 3 days there. But cruise ship that go to Bermuda may dock in 2 or 3 cities/places on the island while there.

I have been on several cruises that were 12 to 14 days and in only one case did the ship stay more than one day. Last year we did a cruise that included a port stop in St Petersburg, Russia and on that cruise we stayed from the morning of the first day until late at night the second day. This same 14 day cruise had 8 port stops. Our 12 day Mediterranean cruise had 8 port stops and but our 12 day Panama had only 5 port stops. So there is no real NORMAL number of port stops. It all depends upon the cruise itinerary and the traveling times and distances.

Some 7 day cruises may have just 3 port stops while others can have 5 port stops.

What is the best cruise line for families of different ages?

We are thinking of taking a cruise with many family members. What cruise line has the best activities for families with older children? I know that Disney is amazing but the kids are too old for that one. Age ranges from 12 – 60

Contrary to what people think, the Disney Foundation does operate a family cruise ship designed for adults as well as children. This is one of the reasons Disney has a saying "For kids of all ages" I’m in my 60’s and I went on a Disney cruise and loved it. Had a blast that wouldn’t quit. If you still don’t want a Disney Cruise go Carnival. Their name says it all.

What is the cheapest cruise to Hawaii you know?

Me and a friend want to take a cruise to hawaii next year, but all the prices are so high. Does anyone know of a cheap cruise to Hawaii?

The cheapest cruises I’ve seen, and I’ve seen these a couple of times, usually by Princess roundtrip California 14 & 15 nighters for $998 pp. You do have to keep in mind that when cruising from the mainland you spend most of your days at sea and not quite as many actually touring the islands. I consider a good deal on a 2 week cruise out of the mainland to be no more than $1200 pp anything higher is too much.

What is the best cruise line if your loved one is in a wheelchair?

Our family is hoping to take a cruise in the near future and were wondering what cruise line is the best when it comes to someone being in a wheelchair.

The link that was provided from Cruise Critic will really help you. I suggest contacting a travel agency for this. The travel agency I book my cruises through had a mailer once where they discussed cruising while in a wheelchair. You want to be well aware of how the cruise ships are laid out and how much space is available. They have to use every inch of space on a cruise ship, so in some spaces, it can be very hard to get around, especially if using a wheel chair. I’ve heard of people taking electric wheel chairs on board and having difficulty while in the stateroom and moving around (even in handicap rooms), while in the halls etc.

While most cruise lines do offer amenities for individuals in wheelchairs, it doesn’t always mean that they are the most accessible. A travel agent is going to be able to give you accurate information for each cruise so you will be able to find the one that is best for you.

One very important thing, in my opinion, to look for is how the boats dock. Some lines will dock at the port, if available, while others may dock in the ocean and tender people in. Meaning, they will put you on to smaller boats to get you on to land. If this is the case, you may consider looking for another line, it can be very difficult to tender if you are in a wheel chair.

But again, look over the link for cruise critic, it will provide a lot of information.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your cruise, I love cruises, it is the best way to travel!!!

What is the best cruise line for honeymooners?

We are looking to go on a 4 day cruise for our honeymoon and we have never been on one before. What is the best cruise line? We don’t want to be too crowded.

Probably will go to Bahamas or the Caribbean.
Thanks!

I have been on many cruises and on 4 different cruise lines. So my suggestion/recommendation to you is based on those experiences.

I think that you want your honeymoon to be special and have a really elegant setting as well as have good food, service and activities. So let me say this first. My favorite cruise line is Royal Caribbean but you cannot go wrong with Celebrity, Princess or Holland America. If you are looking for a real budget cruise and a party ship go on Carnival. If you want to basically be informal the whole cruise go on Norwegian. If you don’t mind being around senior citizens then go on Holland America. Its been my experience that Princess, Celebrity, and Royal Caribbean have the best looking ships and they are very comfortable in the cabins.

I have been on Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess. All of these are good cruise lines. Royal Caribbean cruise line has some of the best on board activities including on various ships, ice skating or roller blading, mini-golf, table tennis, rock climbing wall, basketball court and on the new Freedom class ships, Liberty, Freedom and Independence of the Seas the flowrider where you can body surf right on ship. There are always pools and hot tubs and many ship have a Solarium (a cover area) with a pool and hot tubs for adults only. This is in addition to the regular pool and hot tubs for everyone. Some ships have water slides.

All of these lines have ships have great gymnasiums with a variety of equipment. The RC’s Freedom and Liberty have THE best gyms I have ever seen on ships.

So my advice is go on Celebrity, Princess or Royal Caribbean, pretty much in that order. And, the difference between those three and Carnival or Norwegian is kinda like the difference between a room in a Hilton Hotel vs a Best Western Motel. Both good but one definitely better.

Is it possible to install a cruise control on a 2000 Hyundai Accent? What about a Car starter as well?

I really love my car, but it doesnt have cruise control nor a car starter. Would it be possible to install these two things (especially the cruise control) on my 2000 Hyundai Accent? It doesnt have an option for cruise control from the factory, as far as I know.
Have you added it to your 2000 Hyundai Accent? Around how much did it cost?

They can always be added if you so wish. I have added both as an after market without any problems.
