What are the best airline sites to get really cheap tickets?

In June I’m taking a vacation and just wondering where I can get some really cheap airline tickets now? Any good sites?

A suggestion would to check out bookingbuddy.com which will allow you to look up information on various sites without having to retype everything. My best suggestion, however, would be find internet coupon codes and deals directly with the airline. I have saved hundreds this way. Here’s one example, I booked a trip to Orlando but found out that I could fly into Tampa (1hr away) and rent a car and still save $300 instead of flying directly into Orlando (MCO). Try nearby airports, especially if you’re renting a vehicle.

I use SIDESTEP. You download it for free using Internet Explorer as your browser. You give it start and end airport, dates, and number of passengers. It goes to all the airlines, to expedia, to travelocity, to orbitz, and to all those other sites you see advertised. It looks up every flight that anyone mentions and gets the prices to put in cost order. You look over the results, check the details, and make a selection. Then it links you to the travel site so you buy from the airline, expedia, travelocity, orbitz etc directly. I have found it cheaper and easier than trying every site (since it does the trying and finds the cheapo for each flight).

My travel site where you can search and find a wide selection of options to choose from. It is affiliated with sites such as Travelocity.com or Orbitz.com. But the difference is you may find a cheaper price. If you have any specifics I can help you. I’m a travel agent. With no extra fees. =)

I always open http://www.southwest.com and have sidestep running right beside it. Any search on southwests site auto fills the sidestep and searches it for you. That way you get all the main carriers in the US.
