I also want to know if the water is already in the tub are do you run it? This is the first time I’ve ever did this and I’m doing it for my birthday next month I just want a Jacuzzi In an hotel room lit with candles and slow jams playing and just relax. OH I’m in Dallas.

Typically, the in-room "jetted tubs" (can’t call them Jacuzzi tubs unless they are actually made by Jacuzzi Co.). are just oversized bathtubs with jets.

They won’t have the water already in them, as they’re not like the hot tubs you find by pools at a lot of hotels (where the water is treated with chlorine, etc.).

So — there are some hotels in the Dallas area that have rooms with jetted tubs:

Lockheart Gables B&B

Radisson (Fort Worth/Fossil Creek)

Best Western NE

MD Resort B&B

Scottish Inn & Suites (Haltom City)

Be sure, before you book, that the room description says "jetted tub".

Good luck, hope that helps!

I posed a similar question about going to Spain and surrounding countries. Has anyone used a travel agency and hopscotched around Europe? How long were you there for, and how much did you spend in total?

If you are 18-26, try looking at EF College Break. Look at ‘the grand tour’ and ‘ultimate europe’ they are both packages that i was looking at, but schedual wise, it didn’t work out for me. Its the cheapest thing I’ve found so far, and I have a discount code for them if you do end up wanting to use them, its hesseln1188 and it saves you $50. Have fun!

I live close to Nairobi (NBO) Kenya. I have never been outside of Africa.
I would like to fly to some country in Europe and be there for about a week to see what Europe is like. I know each country has unique things about it. I would like to fly to the country that has the least airfare for me. Also what would be the cost of a visa for that country?
When you answer my questions let me know what currency you are stating-
Is it Kenyan shillings, or US dollars or Euros.

The rate always depends upon the aviation company, day of booking and the date of travel. These criteria decides the travel fare. If you book in advance the fare will be less.

I was just wondering if a cruise ship ticket covers the cost of everything on the cruise or if you have to pay extra for some things. Like, food, shows, massages, entertainment, clubs, booze, ect. Also, what is the legal drinking and gambling age on a cruise, do you have to be a certain age to go to the dance clubs on a cruise? If so what age? Thanks for your help!
Thanks for all the help so far! what about clubbing age on a cruse? 18, 21?

Included in the price of mass market cruise lines:

On board entertainment, dining room meals, Buffet meals, and room service menu. Iced tea, juice, milk, water. Hot tea and coffee in the dining room. Soft serve ice cream machines and the pizza bar.

Not included: soda, alchohol, Spa treatments, casino, specialty drinks and desserts, some gym classes, duty free shops

Gambling: in most cases, 18. Drinking: in most cases: 21. some cruise lines allow those younger to drink with signed permission from their parents(but parents must be on board with you)

if you are unmarried, you must be at least 21 to book a cruise, and if anyone is under 21 in the group, someone 25 or older must be in the room as well.

Travelling on a 3 day tour from Istanbul to Kusadasi and Pamukkale. Are they dodgy?

I haven’t taken a tour with them, but my company uses them for other travel arrangements and they have only been helpful. They have a solid reputation in the travel sector here in Istanbul as well.

There are more and more organizations popping up offering "volunteer vacations" where one goes and volunteers their time and skills in usually a foreign country. Aside from Habitat for Humanity or Doctor’s Without Borders, I would very much like to know anyone’s experiences with organizations like those. I get the sense that these "programs" are no better than one going out there on their own and spending less money for the same or better benefit of the particular community. In mind I have particular organizations that are bad at organizing any volunteer work and worse at providing adequate funding. I just would like to know if there are people with first hand experience who truly believe that the organizations they vacationed with were very beneficial.

When hurricane Katrina wiped out New Orleans,i Voulenteered My help for the first time in my life with The RED CROSS.At our breifing and first meeting here in California about travel and otherthings,We were told That The Red Cross Required each voulenteer had a Valid Drivers Lisence. At the time I only had my valid Ca.State I.D.
We were told we would recieve a VISA Debit Card For each voulenteer with the amount of $800 dollars for food or whatever we wanted…One Of the Guys that Had been with the RED CROSS said " You dont have to use the card ,You can take out the cash at an atm when you arrive back home and just say u used it in New Orleans. That,I thought was wrong. he also said" we usually get together for drinks so save some of your money for partying. Again,I thought "well ,thats wrong." And I was told that each voulenteer needed a valid Drivers Lisence because we all get a rental Car. Again, Wrong. I wasnt able to go because of my driving status but thought to myself later "No one is using cars ,its flooded, also where was anyone going to party when this big disaster was unfolding and people needed help?
I then realized after my anger subsided that The Red Cross was a joke and was really mis-managing Funds. People around the world were pouring in with Donations and The R.C. was buying VISA CARDS w/$800 each for each volunteer and rental cars. Here I was,A perfectly capable person to help with shelters, with giving out food, and moral support for the victims. I was angry and I told myself I will never donate any money to the Red Cross again.months later we all saw on the news how the Director of the Red Cross was held accountable for mis-management and mis handeling of funds. The Red Cross to me is a Racket with people using donations for comfartability and there amusement as they wished. So wrong!!!

I am planning a trip to Florida and just wondering where is there a good place to shop for airline tickets. I have used Travelocity and that seem to be great, any other ideas?

All the online discounters are all pretty safe to go through. Just be sure you understand policies, etc. in case you need to cancel or change your flight. Look over what you book several times to make sure it is what you want/need. As far as the one site that is the best, it’s really hard to tell you. They will all vary and change all the time. One site may be lower for one person, higher for the next. You just have to do your research and see what yo find. In my expereince, the cheapest way to go is directly through the airline. In my past dozen trips, that I can remember, the airline has always been cheaper than the online discounters. Just look around and see what you can find.

Check around online. There are several online discounters, like expedia, priceline, orbitz, etc. This is usually the cheapest way to go. But you should also check directly through airline sites to see if they are running a special. It is also easier to make changes if you use the airline directly instead of a discounter. For example, air tran often offers discounted tickets on Tuesdays and Thursdays and it is cheaper than through other online sites. Also watch in the newspapers and such, they often advertise specials in the newspaper .

Hope this helps!

Recently, I signed on for what seemed to be an excellent vacation package. Two nights stay at a Williamsburg, VA resort w/two adult tickets to Busch Gardens included – all for only $89. Additionally, they are claiming they will give me two more nights at another time – FREE of charge – to return.

Upon verifying this package, I realized it is a time share selling package. You get this rate – but you have to devote an hour and a half to them dragging you around the resort and attempting to sell you a timeshare in it. There’s no obligation to buy (supposedly) – but you have to at least take the tour and participate to get the rate and return package deal. The return trip doesn’t include the hour and a half tour again.

Has anyone ever done this? Did they make you sign anything? Is putting up with the tour and timeshare selling attempts worth it for the trip or is this a scam that will only inconvenience me and my family on our vacation?

You’ll leave with a timeshare! Don’t do it unless you really want a timeshare.

You can’t get the tickets to the attractions if you don’t go. My trip included a stay at a hotel, and a cruise and you couldn’t get the tickets to the cruise if you didn’t sit through the timeshare stuff. But it wasn’t as simple as touring the timeshare. You sit around until you basically either convince them you can’t afford it (which you can…they make sure of that) or you sign the papers and put the down payment on a timeshare.

Then your phone number is in the system and they call you over and over again until you sign up for another b/c now you’re a "hot" lead…someone’s that bought before. Or you are a warm lead because you’ve taken the package and you may take another one.

Good luck! They aren’t worth it if you ask me and I’ll never do it again…cruise or not!
